Tell us about yourself and what you do:
I am a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend to so many. That is my most important job of them all! I have been a Real Estate agent for almost 24 years. It is my passion; I just love to help people! I am also a property manager and own 21 rentals.
Tell us about women who inspire you…
I had so many strong women in my life that helped shape me, mold me and give me the strength and confidence to be a strong woman. I try to do the same to others I meet along the way.
I had the most talented, caring, smart, strong, and successful grandma any girl could ever ask for. She taught me so much; she was a master at everything she did and always encouraged me to try new things and be better each time.
My Aunt Lorraine was someone I have always looked up to. She made everything seem so perfect, easy, and effortless. I wanted to be just like her. She was happy, put together, had great friends, lots of fun, spunky and full of life! Even as an adult, I look forward to spending time with her.
My mom and sister are my rocks, they are my best friends, and they are always there to make sure I am doing great. Along with so many friends, family members, coworkers, my amazing daughters, people who helped raise me, I could go on forever. I thank each woman who has ever been a part of my life and helped me grow and become a better person because of them.
I also some amazing female teachers throughout my years at Dwight Rich Middle School and Sexton High School that I will never forget. I still use the quotes, tips, and lessons I learned almost daily.
Tell us about your community involvement:
I like to stay busy - I am full of energy! I belong to MAR, NAR and GLAR with work and participate in committees. I have spent years working with the Lansing Food Bank raising money to feed families. I help sponsor so many other charities monthly. I am the current president of the Delta Township Kiwanis Club which is my heart. It is so rewarding being able to help so many charities, families, children, and the community!
What does Women’s History Month mean to you?
Women’s History Month is so special, as are women! They are strong and beautiful. It is amazing that we can create a life and be able to share all our special qualities with a child. It is important to remind women that they are important, special, and just as strong as men.
